Location

On the edge of the village of Herne, overlooking open countryside and the ancient Blean Woodland, with walks and nature trails close by. Herne is on the north Kent coast, 45 minutes from the M25, with Whitstable an easy 10 minute drive, and Canterbury 15 minutes.

Whitstable

A vibrant seaside town, with a great selection of art galleries, boutiques and lovely independent shops on Harbour Street.

  • Stroll along the seafront
  • Visit the Harbour Market, eat oysters or have Pimms at the Harbour Café
  • Take a trip on a Thames Barge
  • Visit the Horsebridge Centre
  • Re-charge at one of several excellent bars and restaurants
  • Take a RIB or Jet Ski to see the Wind Farm and WWII Forts close up.

 

Canterbury

St Martins Church, St Augustines Abbey and the magnificent Cathedral are Unesco World Heritage Sites and offer a spectacular backdrop to a beautiful and diverse medieval city.

  • Take a punt trip on the river Stour through Canterbury
